PasteTemp ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Data We Collect

Anonymous Pastes: Anonymous Pastes: When you create a paste without an account, we collect the paste content and the expiration time you select. We do not collect your IP address, browser fingerprint, or any other identifying information.

Account Data: Account Data: If you create an account, we collect your email address, account name, and authentication credentials. This data is stored securely and used only for account management.

Usage Analytics: Usage Analytics: We use Google Analytics with anonymized IP addresses to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can opt out via our cookie consent banner.

3. Data Retention

Paste content is retained only until the expiration time you select, at which point it is permanently and irreversibly deleted. Account data is retained until you request deletion. Analytics data is retained for 26 months.

4. Data Security

All paste content is encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption before it reaches our servers. The encryption key is delivered via the URL fragment and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers — meaning even we cannot decrypt your content. All network traffic is additionally protected with TLS 1.3. We host all data in European data centers.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@pastetemp.com.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics for aggregated analytics. No personal data is shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not sell your data.
